Abounding with an immense desire to invite you to dance, we propose to share the essence of traditional folk dance: being together.

With humour and simplicity, we guide you to become an expert in group dances in just one hour. By the end, the collective spirit seems almost palpable, natural, and human. And you\’ll want to start all over again!

The repertoire is chosen from different regions of France and according to the humour of the day, including traditional and more recent folk compositions, as tradition is constantly being renewed.
Violin, singing in Occitan and French, and light percussion.

The Left Feet Ball

It’s not a show, but it’s entertaining.

It’s not a dance class, but you still learn something.

It’s a folk dance, a shared moment of joy.

Where does this joy come from?

To pick up and embrace a gesture, a dance, a song, and share it is to create a present moment filled with humanity.
The creative dimension is always there, implicitly, with an element of collectiveness. These two aspects, expressed physically, create an experience of encounter, with oneself, with others.
This event is motivated by the sharing of music and dance and collective repertoires, which include contemporary and traditional culture, nomadic and regionally rooted traditions. The subtle resonances between music and body, between people dancing, are at the heart of the proposal.

This ball can be hosted by Jutta alone, or with one or more guest artists.
